rudolfs

rudolfs was sent to our camp by his mom because she wanted him to learn better english.

on the first day of camp it was clear that he was not happy to be here. he begged the local youth leader to take him home. as the week progressed i saw him quickly warming up to the camp. on the third day of camp during one of the night games he ran and collided with another camper and knocked out his two front teeth! we sent him home that night so his mom could decide what she wanted to do with him. we found out later that the next morning he begged his mom to let him come back to camp! he promised her that he wouldn't lose anymore teeth! haha.

he came back the next day and as we were walking to breakfast i asked him what his favorite part of camp had been. he quickly replied, "all of it!"

when i was saying goodbye to him this afternoon he told me "see you next year" at camp!

i pray that over the next year God would continue to cultivate the seeds that were planted in his heart this week. please join me in praying for rudolfs and the many other students we encounter this summer!

summer summer summer

we have four camps this summer. they start on june 29th and go through july 25th. all of the camps will be held in the small town of kazdanga at the barons pils (castle) which is shown below.

we have a great team and are all very excited about this summer! here is the intern team that i am working closely with... (from left to right) myself, anna, montis, megan, daniel, elina s, jaycee, sarah, agrita, adam, oskars & elina k who is not pictured.

we truly covet your prayers this summer. please pray for strength throughout the four weeks. pray that the students would see Christ in our words and actions and that as a team we would be unified and loving in our interactions with each other. and lastly, that many lives would be transformed by Christ! that is why we are here, right? amen.
